Numbers and operators. By touch. Completely independently.
Arithmetic Types are small rectangular rod-like pieces that
insert into the octagonal holes of a Taylor Frame — allowing
blind and visually impaired students to physically construct
and solve arithmetic problems entirely through touch.
Place the types. Feel the equation. Solve it independently.
WHAT ARE ARITHMETIC TYPES
Each piece represents a digit (0–9) or an arithmetic operator
(+, −, ×, ÷, =, decimal point). Students arrange these types
on the Taylor Frame to build number sentences and work through
calculations step by step — without any visual reference.
WHAT YOU CAN CALCULATE
✓ Addition | Subtraction | Multiplication | Division
✓ Multi-digit calculations
✓ Decimal calculations
✓ Foundation for moving on to Algebra Types
THE DIFFERENCE — ARITHMETIC VS ALGEBRA TYPES
Arithmetic Types contain digits and basic operators — for
everyday calculations. Algebra Types contain variables and
algebraic symbols — for equations with unknowns like x and y.
For complete mathematical coverage, both sets are recommended.

IMPORTANT — TAYLOR FRAME REQUIRED
Arithmetic Types are an accessory for the Taylor Frame.
A Taylor Frame (sold separately) is needed to use them.
