Product overview

A pair of instruments used by individuals with visual impairment to read and write in a tactile mode.

The slate and stylus are equivalent to pen and paper in the tactile writing system. Here the hinge that folds must be kept on the left side.  Braille paper is then kept between the slate and the stylus with its pointed end pushes through the rectangular openings and embosses Braille characters. The slate is made up of plastic or metal and has 27 lines and 30 cells in a row.  The stylus that accompanies it is either made of wood or plastic. Its portable size and weight make it very convenient for users to carry with them.
