A set of five hundred Braille papers sold together. Each rectangular paper measures 12 inches long, 9 inches wide and has a weight of 140 GSM (grams per square meter). Crafted from thick stock, it is commonly employed for embossing or feeding into Braille printers to create reading materials for individuals with visual impairments. Braille paper serves as an alternative to regular printer paper as its increased weight results in enhanced thickness which then maintains the shape of Braille dots more effectively or reduces the likelihood of holes or damage during production. Additionally, it produces less paper dust and reduces static electricity generated during the brailing process, which otherwise could damage the internal components of a Braille printer. The Braille paper provided by Saktek is a cut-sheet paper, its lack of perforated edges made it ideal for applications where clean edges are required such as the binding of documents.
