A white cane with 5 folds, measuring 120 cm in length, and fitted with a plastic pencil tip at the bottom. The cane is coated with Aluminium alloy and silver powder.
A valuable tool for individuals experiencing sight loss, functioning as both a mobility aid and a means of identification. After learning the cane usage techniques, a person with visual impairment can effectively use it for the detection of obstacles which are at ground level, any surface level changes like potholes, puddles, beginning of a staircase etc.
The shaft is made of an aluminium tube and has an anodized finish. It is fitted with a small cylindrical plastic pencil tip at the bottom which is 0.5 inches long and 2 inches thick. The tip comes in either black or white. A major advantage of this cane is that it can be folded and put in a bag. Also, there is a red reflector tape for nighttime visibility. The double-string elastic band helps the cane to be tightly held together when folded or not in use.
