A device that helps persons with visual impairment estimate and pour liquids into a cup.


A compact, lightweight device with three metallic probes used to give indication of two separate liquid levels within a cup or mug. The DK 127 provides both an auditory and vibratory indication, contrasting the DK 139 which just gives an audible indication. This can be used to assist in filling a cup with hot water/tea/coffee until the first level is reached and then topping up slowly until the second alarm is raised. The unit also has two small magnets embedded in the plastic molding enabling it to be attached to the side of a fridge, microwave oven etc. for storage when not in use.

Battery  Activation 

The device comes with a small, round tag on the ribbed semi-circular bottom edge. This tag prevents the battery from discharging during storage and shipment. Before the first use, remove and discard this tag to activate the battery and ensure optimal performance


Simply hold the battery tag and pull it away from the molding. This straightforward action activates the battery.  Upon successful activation, the device provides three confirmation beeps, accompanied by a vibration for DK127, indicating that the battery is in good condition and the unit is ready for use
